Why we created this project

The lack of habits, particularly among young people, to attend museum expositions is a major problem nowadays. The project seeks solutions by applying new methods to attract the attention of adolescents to the cultural heritage and its preservation.

The experience gained to date through the ongoing extracurricular activities in the historical and cultural aspect of various student groups, the use of volunteer work and interactive methods, gives reason to believe that success in this area is well thought out and measured. The introduction of new and richer information on cultural sites on social networks and the Internet, the free distribution of the catalog and media publications, as well as the offering of new photo exhibitions and 3D exhibitions, will also attract a part of the audience who is a supporter of the Internet and social media without any interest in the cultural heritage so far. In this way, an attempt is made to attract the attention of the maximum number of users. People with disabilities are in most cases deprived of information about cultural and historical sites in that volume that is accessible to everyone else. That is why we have put this target group in the focus of the project, providing them not only with an accessible environment, but also with the opportunity to directly touch the cultural heritage and to feel its impact. Taking into account the needs of the various target groups and their satisfaction, registering the problems in the cross-border area and making efficient use of its infrastructure, human and material resources is an approach that we have used in the development of the project. At the other side the project is focused on the problems relating with ensuring accessible tourism infrastructure in the cross-border region: low degree of implementation recreation and restoration projects, unaccusable ancient places and castles that could be integrated in the tourism and supporting its sustainability

What we will do

Within 15 months we will create, restore and bring together

In this project we have included such activities to offset some of the problems in the cross-border area. And even though this project is small and cannot resolve all of them, we strongly believe it will have great impact and will achieve the goals we have set for it.
Together we will create a recreation project for Sislioba village and road to ancient fortress. We will create a network and develop common tourist destinations in Haskovo and in Kırklareli as well as a plan for its sustainable development. We will create an exhibition of 3D models that will travel across two contrives which can be experienced even with people with sight deficiencies and felt by touch. Together with the exhibitions we will create and present the jewel of this project - the first of its kind Catalog of cultural sights with augmented reality. And in order to achieve exposure to maximum number of people, we will create it in English, Bulgarian and Turkish. Several seminars, conferences and additional activities will help us and track our progress along the way.
