Within the Cultural Treasure project by Kirklareli District Directorate of Culture and Tourism a very important activity was carried out, which guarantees the implementation and sustainability of the strategic plan for development of the newly built tourist destinations covering the districts of Haskovo and Kirklareli.
Within the project, the partner number 2 - Kirklareli District Directorate of Culture and Tourism developed the architectural and landscape projects of the village of Sislioba, which is one of the important historical sites covered by the two new tourist cross-border routes formed under the project.
With the developed architectural projects covering the main street of the village, the square, a place for sale and presentation of local products, the external facades and the yards of the houses around the main street of the village, the facade of the town hall, the facade of the local school, playground and most importantly, through the landscape project of a forest road leading to the historic fortress near the village of Sislioba were provided the necessary technical projects, through which at a later stage will proceed to the total restoration and construction of the village with aim to become to a more attractive place to visitors.
Currently, the village is visited by hundreds of tourists per month, but with the implementation of the construction activities in the village it is expected to be visited by thousands of tourists per month.
